1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Viti Receipt Vault. These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Viti Receipt Vault web application, website, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Definitions

“Service” means the Viti Receipt Vault application and related services. “User” means any person who accesses or uses the Service. “Account” means the registered account created by a User. “Content” means receipts, images, invoices, documents, and any other data or materials uploaded, stored, or generated through the Service. “We,” “us,” or “our” means the operator of Viti Receipt Vault. “You” or “your” means the User.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

4. Description of the Service

Viti Receipt Vault provides tools to scan, upload, store, organize, edit, and export receipts and related tax information. The Service includes optical character recognition (OCR), automated data extraction, multi-page receipt handling, and reporting features designed to assist with record keeping.

5. Your Content and Data

You retain all ownership rights in your Content. By uploading Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, store, process, and reproduce your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload your Content and that it does not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of your Content.

6. Data Security and Privacy

We take the security and privacy of your data seriously. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting infrastructure.

No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for using strong passwords and keeping your login credentials safe. Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

7. OCR Accuracy and Financial Responsibility

The Service uses automated technology to extract information from receipt images. While we strive for accuracy, OCR results may not be perfect and should always be reviewed. You are responsible for verifying and correcting any extracted data before using it for tax, accounting, or other financial purposes.

Viti Receipt Vault is not a tax advisor, accountant, or legal advisor. The Service does not constitute professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional for any tax, accounting, or legal matters.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

Some features of the Service require payment of fees. Fees and billing terms are described on our pricing page. Subscription plans automatically renew for successive periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change fees or introduce new charges by providing notice to you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a fee change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the new fees.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Use the Service to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your Account.
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.
• Upload receipts or data that you are not authorized to process.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including software, code, designs, logos, and trademarks, are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the Service. You may use the Viti Receipt Vault name and logo only as expressly permitted by these Terms.

11. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or if required by law. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease. You may request export of your Content before termination where technically feasible.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VITI RECEIPT VAULT, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or FJD $100 if no amount was paid.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Viti Receipt Vault and its owners, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your Content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Fiji, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Fiji.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service or by email at least 30 days before the changes become effective, where practicable. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
